FPE1 Document Printing

Former Member

Hello All,

I am printing a document created in FPE1.

When I print, it pops up and asks for the "Application form" everytime.

1. Is there any setting I can use to default the application form?

2. On FPE1, I cannot see the print preview. Even while using standard application for attached to a standard smartform.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

Please find the response to your queries.

(a) Go to T.Code-SU01. Then go to the parameters tab.

Enter the parameter ID as FOM and type in the application form name in the parameter value.

      Once done, press save.

The next time you are printing a document, the application form will come by default.

(b) Have you activated the application form? If so, let me know the standard application form that you are using for the purpose.

Hope it helps...

Thanks,

Amlan

Hi Amalan,

1. The SU01 is helpful. Thanks.

However I see one problem here.

We have around 5 company codes at present and will grow.

If user setting is default, it will default for all company codes.

Anything that could be done on company code?

2. The applciation form is active. I can paper print the document and also create the correspondance and print it via FPCOPARA Activity 0014.

However, there is no Print Preview available.

Thanks again,

Hi,

(a) Are you having different application forms for different company codes?

I don't think company code field comes in the pop-up of the Print Parameters.

Can you please let me know the Business requirement for the same.

(b) Go to T.Code-EFRM. Give the application form that you are using and execute the form.

If you are using the standard application form,IS_U_CA_SLDOCUMENT for correspondence type      0014, then the system will prompt for the document no. and on entering the same, will ask for the      print parameters. Once you have given the print parameters, a new pop-up comes where in you        will find the print preview button.

I can find the print preview button in my System for the same.

Hope you also get the same result.

Now if you are getting the Print preview through EFRM, then I think you need to check the triggering point for the application form during FPE1.

Hope it helps...

Thanks,

Amlan

a. We have multiple company codes and each company has a different document template.

b. In EFRM, I tried executing the standard form you mentioned, as well as the custom form which I have.

I cannot generate the preview here either.

On FPE1, I can send the document to printer or I can just create a correspondance. But no preview.

Can you preview the document on FPE2/3 in your system?

Thanks,

Hi Sachin,

(a) Don't think that the company code will come in the standard screen.

If you want to have company code in there, you need to design a screen in b/w which would contain the company ode value being passed from the document.

(b) For your second requirement, you can insert a check box which would trigger the print preview functionality. If the check box is ticked, then it will create a print preview, else  it will create a correspondence or send the document to the printer.

Hope it helps...

Thanks,

Amlan
