I create a box, enter a DB Field but when I preview it there is nothing there, I even verified there is data by clicking on the DB Field then right-clicking on Browse Data. Can anyone tell me why my box is not showing up? Thanks

Hi Stan,

Not sure why you have a box around the database field in the first place, however let me if this helps:

1) Remove the box

2) Insert a Text Object in the 'Details p' section

3) Increase the size of this Text object just as the box

4) Right-click the Text Object and apply borders on all four sides

5) Drag and drop the Database field "inside" the Text object.

Hi Stan,

How are you drawing the box?  If you're using the Draw Box tool from the toolbar then it should be fine.  If your box is an image then make sure you right-click your database field and select Move To Front to have the field on top of the image.

A possible alternative to a box is to right-click the database field and in Format Field turn on the borders for the field.

Good luck,

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the response. I attempted both option but there was no selection for Move To Front not turning on the borders when right-clicking the DB Field.

A little background on this report, I had to insert lines on the bottom of the report so I could create the new box, I did use the draw box from the toolbar. Appreciate any further feedback
