SPNego on Abap

Is SPNego for Abap available without purchasing  the Netweaver Single Signon product?

Technically you can get it by simply installing the required SAP_BASIS of one of the supported NetWeaver versions. A kernel update might be required as well. I don't think you need NWSSO licenses to use it but it would be good if one of the NWSSO people (, , , or ) confirmed it.

Hi,

SPNego for ABAP is only part of SAP NetWeaver Single Sign-On which is a separate product. So there a licenses required for SAP NetWeaver Single Sign-On .

I was wondering how the ABAP stack would check for NWSSO2. I guess SAP note 1849239 answers that question.

Technically the SAP NW SSO team had also to enhance the SAP Kernel and SICF transaction. You can find in PAM of SAP NW SSO all the SAP NW releases, which are alreadysupporting SPNego for ABAP.
