Can ARE1 and ARE3 combined in one sales area

Hi Gurus

We are stucked with a problem. Our client has got one sales org, 4 distribution channels and one division. They have got same export, deemed export and factory sales from the same sales area. But I am not able to maintain default excise group for both exports and deemed exports. Can we tackle this situation?
