Limiting the no. of alerts in Macros...

Do we have any standard functionality in APO which can help limit many alerts to only one alert in a macro.

For Example:

Suppose we have 10 values in 10 cells and we have a macro which checks the values in each cell and generates an alert when it finds a value = 2.

Also suppose that there are 3 cells that have a value = 2. So the requirement is that the macro should end as soon as it generates the first alert.

    There is no such functionality available out-of-the-box. You need to build that logic in the alert macro. Pl check the following pseudo code.

    Step1: initialize variable (1 iteration)

    Action box

    Set layout variable - COUNTER = 0

    ::

    ::

    Step n: Write alerts

    ....

    IF

    Alert check business logic

    ....

    Set layout variable - COUNTER = COUNTER + 1

    IF COUNTER = 1

    Add/Update alert

    ENDIF

    ENDIF
