How to Configure GR capacity check, while creating PO ?

Former Member

I am trying to configure " GR-capacity check " while creating PO.. I activated it in the IMG customizing, as a result, I can see the icon while creating PO,  but nothing happens as I click on it.

I defined Door and Staging area as well In IMG customizing before I activate the GR-Capacity check, and I activated it with relevance to DOOR, if that is relevant and/or helpful to understand my scenario better ..

Please help me config this setting as I have this demo due tomorrow  ..

Hi

GR capacity check will not work untill you maintain entries in WGRC1, WGRC2...

Step1: Maintain general entry for vendor in WGRC1 for without week number for a particular day -Save

Step2: create po and press enter ... it will give you a message (Storage location is must)

No time window assigned for plant XXXX and storage location XXXX

Message no. MEPO310

Check schedule line the time for the same is empty in delivery schedule tab

Step3: If you press GR capacity button , it will say no resources maintained, so you need to maitain resource for GR activity

Step 4: maintain some resources in WGRC2 for GR suppoting entry... maintain some number (not sure about correct input but random 1-4 digit number works)

Step 5: Create PO and press enterit will give you a message

No time window selected.

Step6:GR capacity check , it will provide you time window where resources are availble.. select the line and press "select TB profile " tab

Result: it will update delivery schudle with the time where resources are avaialble

Dear,

I finished it . the error was due to data was not maintained in the transaction Code:S_ALR_87001689.

I was suppose to "Maintain Unit of Measure Load Category", I created a Z . medium load

then I assigned it to the PC (my unit of measure in PO).

This error can be solved using two steps:

1. Maintain unit of measure load category - Warehouse Management

( Txn code: not available. but click find in SPRO IMG and type load category , and click on the above exact line)

2. Assign UOM to UOM Load category.

  ( Txn Code: S_ALR_87001689.)

and then again try and create PO and click GR capacity Check Button and it runs.. Smoothly..;)

Thank you,

No ,, i haven't .. i checked , it only show some table as i insert my data , table shows initial week and something..

I am new to this please tell me what to do. as soon as you can..

Also please tell me the prerequists of this funtion to work,..

And correct me if I am wrong , that if there are some raw material in the plant on the delivery day of PO, we are now creating,  then by using this function we can check that either we can post a PO by changing delivery date or Storage location...

Thank you
