Crystal Report subreport field source for main report parametar

I have a table with a field that have some empty string entry in “”, it is not Null it is empty string ””.
I need to change that empty string “” value to string “Blank Entry” and populate parameter based on the new value in the field.
I did this using a command object and it was not complicated. It worked fine.
However.
Crystal Report, need to be uploaded in Raiser’s Edge application.
Command object as source for parameter can not be used in Raiser’s Edge application, so I was planning to create subreport in main report with one field and use that field as source for Parameter in main report.

I am using Crystal Report CR XI R2 ver.
Is it possible to use subreport field as source for main report parameter and how set up it.
What I have to do?

    Hi Darko,

    Unfortunately, you can't!

A parameter, like I said earlier, can only be created against a Database field. Isn't there any way you can create a column in the table and use that field instead?
