Application destination export option missing

Former Member

Hello,

I was using Visual Studio 2010 with the version of Crystal Reports that was for VS 2010. I had the application option on the 2nd drop-down list on the Export dialog box.

I recently upgraded the version of Crystal to Crystal  developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio. The application option is not there anymore. Is this a bug or was the application destination option removed on purpose.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Tracy

Hello Tracy

The export to application dialog is not part of "SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio". Please see the following for more details:

Hi Ludek,

Really? They took the application export destinaton option away. That doesn't make sense to me - to remove functionality that actually is useful and works.

Thank you for letting me know. I thought that there was something wrong with my installation.

I wish that they would provide a single document that lists additions and removal functionality for each version.

This is scary.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

Hello Tracy

Hard to believe that this was taken away. I know. On the other hand, this has been entered in the SAP Idea Place. Since it has been submitted at end of 2011, the idea has been viewed 51 times and voted up 5 times. Or, only 10% of those viewing the idea would like an API like that (or only 10% understood the idea ). Oh, and I was one of the 5. Irrespective, that is a low number and makes it look like most people looking at this don't really miss the functionality much. E.g.; no pressure on Program Management to put it in.

Re. Additions / Removal of functions. A fair amount of work I suspect, but I understand where you're coming from. Best I can do is highlight your feedback to Program management...

Have a great day,

- Ludek
