XL Reporter Com Add-in

I have a client running SAP Business One 2007. The XL reporter works fine on other workstations running an older version of excell. I have a new PC that is running excel 2012. When I try to add in the Com Add-Ins the IXXLReporter.dll I get an error message in excel that this is not a valid Office Add-In. How can I add the XL Reporter IXXLReporter.dll in order to have the XL reporter in SAP launch.

Dennis

    Hi Dennis Ferraro

1787984 - Current Supported Platforms of XL Reporter

    Symptom

You are using XL Reporter in SAP Business One and want to use one of the new Windows, Office and .net framework Platforms.

    Cause

Windows and Office continuously release newer versions. Windows: Vista/Windows 7, Server 2008, Windows 8 and Server 2012; Office: 2007, 2010, and Office 2012; .net framework: 4.0; SQL Server: 2012.

The new platform versions have changed a lot compared to the original version when XL Reporter was designed and developed, including features and security mechanisms.

Therefore, there may be several supportability limitations when XL Reporter runs in the newer versions of these platforms.

    Solution

The current supported platforms (both development and release) for XL Reporter are:

    Microsoft Windows: 7/XP, or earlier

    Microsoft Office: 2010, or earlier

Microsoft SQL Server: 2008 or earlier

    Microsoft .net framework: 1.1/2.0/3.0

XL Reporter for SAP Business One 9.0, is available with ‘general availability’ of release 9.0 as a standalone component available on the SAP Service Market place under ‘Updates’. XL Reporter for SAP Business One 9.0 will only support 32bit clients and MS Office versions 2003 & 2010.

If you use the newer platform versions, there are certain known limitations without solutions.

Please also refer to SAP Note 1787431 - Central Note for SAP Business One XL Reporter for all central XL Reporter application issues and limitations.

    Regards

    Kennedy
