Ministry of Corporate Affairs Costing reports for Sugar industry in SAP

Dear all,

Currently our project which is sugar industry related is in UAT stage, we have a requirement MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) reports to be developed in SAP.

Currently in legacy client is submitting these reports for each products (for all in-house products.. sugar, molasses, power, co2… etc..) report based on actual costing to the government after completion of sugar session, i.e. in the month of May for every year (Sugar season starts at Dec and ends in May), to arrive this report all the calculation will be done in excel, SAME REPORTS they are expecting directly in SAP.

Because of these reports, client is not at all convinced with the Standard Cost estimation in SAP and expecting actual costing. In our project Material ledger is not in scope, pl suggest how to develop these reports in SAP.

Hi

Normally standard reports of SAP does not meet requirements for MCA cost records. These recrods are developed using ABAP, BI tools depending upon depth of reporting requirements.

Client have to decide a method of deriving actual cost of product either using standard costing with price change every month or actual costing. However a detailed study of each option is to be done considering complexity of processes and level of precision, policies of management etc.

Client requires very detailed report as per the MCA format ( details of raw materials, conversion cost details, F.O.H, A.O.H, S.O.H, COGM, COGS details and Proformas for in house materials..)

COPA is not in scope, still can we use BI to develop these reports

You can get standard from Billing and actual via variance.
