Regi.exe not available for HANA Client (32 bit Windows OS)

Hi,

I successfully installed the HANA Client (for 32 bit Windows 7 OS). But I couldn't find the regi.exe file for configuring the HANA Studio.

Please let me know if I am missing something.

Wondering if I can install HANA Client for 64 bit. Because in one of the old blogs I read regi.exe is not available for 32bit HANA Client.

Thanks

Regards,

Ravikanth

    Hi,

regi.exe is not included in 32bit version. Yes, you need to install 64bit version but your OS must be 64bit as well.I just updated my laptop just because of this.

    Cheers

"regi.exe" is available only from HANA Client for 64 Bit - Hence you cannot install the client in your machine. But, there is a work around:

You can go to AWS, and create a new 64 Bit instance for free (There are many micro instances that falls in Free tier).

Once you have a 64 bit windows instance up and running in AWS, you can install the client & studio in your new 64 bit instance, and connect to HANA Server.
