Hi folks,
I'm trying to experiment with creating hierarchies and I have the option to create a hierarchy in both Attribute views and Calculation views however in all of my analytic views the option to CREATE hierarchy is dimmed out (ie: not available or clickable). Any idea why? I am on REV 55.
Thanks,
-Patrick
Hi Patrick,
A guess is enough? On AN try to add a attribute view (master data), the idea of hierarchy fits better with master data ans as the AN should be uses as fact may this is direction. Again I'm just guessing here.

Hi Fernando,
Let me elaborate; I did indeed get hierarchy created successfully in attribute view and when I add that attribute view to logical join in my analytic view it automatically appears in the hierarchy window of the analytic view. However, the create button in the analytic view still appears unclickable. It just sits there dimmed out and unusable. So if I can only pull in attribute hierarchies then why do I have these pretty buttons that I can not click? They do look quite lovely, it's a shame for them not to be used.
Thanks!
-Patrick
