SAP BODS Server Manager is not started (BODI-310204)

Hello All,

I'm Using SAP BODS 3.2.

Permanent license is entered and validated.

All BODS applications start fine, except for BODS Server Manager.

It gives following error:

The base keycode for the Data Services platform was not found or has expired.

Obtain a valid keycode and use the License Manager to update your installation (BODI-310204).

I've searched othere topics, all of them face second error with management console - XML error... but I don't have one and can start Management Console fine.

Due to my job server suddenly started giving error: Job Server SRV00V55:3500 is not accessible. Connection refused: connect - I want to resync it with repository.

Can anyone advise how to fix issue with Server Manager?

Hi,

The problem could be a user permission to update the registry. Please apply this KB http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1477421

Check also if the temp key works, you can download it from  http://service.sap.com/licensekey >

"Obtain an SAP BusinessObjects temporary license key (ZIP file)".

Hi Ashot,

Nawfal is Rights  problem is due to Admin rights. Or lack of. If you run license manager as normal user then the registry doesn't update with new key (not that you get an error) but if you right click over License Manager in the Start menu and select Run as administrator then new lic key gets properly registered.

Thank you both.

The problem is really was with registry - it was empty, not a single entry for BODS.

Was solved by reinstalling BODS using Admin account and entering permanent license at the point of installation.

Probably solution with License Manager --> Run as Administrator will be good as well, but didn't have chance to check it.
