Process Compression Error

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time on the forum. I am currently working as a SAP BI.

Everyday I monitor  process chains,but from two days I am getting this error- " Process Compression of the InfoCube, variant Collapse ZSDO_C01 has status Ended with errors (instance COMP_4U0FELWNF8ZA7BATB1GPS5T4S) "

Can anyone help in this as I am new to BW.

HI,

Process chain-->Failed Step( variant Collapse ZSDO_C01)--.Right Click Display Messages-->You will find three tabs-->Check the error message clearly

You may just repeat the chain by right clicking on failed step ans say "Repeat". This may make it succesful.

Hi All,

I am getting this error message - "ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [13013], [5001], [1567344], [88876348], [4], [88876357], [24], [], [], [], [], [] "

Have you repeated now to see if it is running or not? In the meanwhile, please inform to your BASIS team to look into this database issue.

Hi,

This is Database issue .

Causes of this message include:

timeouts
file corruption
failed data checks in memory
hardware, memory, or I/O errors
incorrectly restored files. I seen this in Oracle site. check with Basis to resolve your issue. After getting confirmation from basis you can directly restart compressing the request.

It seems there is a serious database issue occurred. Please run RSRV tests for your Cube like below:-

What is your BASIS team response on the issue?

Hi ,

When you receive error like "ORA" its purely related data base related issue. Try thru T - code  RSRV  to repair objects. Even though if not resolved then  please take help of DB team and basis team. They will help you to sort-out this issue.

Hi Sukhpreet,

The error has arised because of the failure of the compression step for the infocube ZSDO_C01.

As mentioned by raman, you need to go to the collapse tab of the cube and check the reason for the failure of the compression.

I have provided the screenshot below, you can go to the logs tab and check the logs, this will give you idea as to why the job has failed.

Hi,

As mentioned by raman check the Compression job log.

Compression is used to update the data from F table to E table in the Infocube

You can check this by using RSA1--->Select your Infocube--->Go to Manage--->Go to Collapse tab select log and check the job.

In Collapse tab I am getting this message- " Collapse of InfoCube ZSDO_C01 up to Request ID 21665 cancelled" .No resolution is there.

Hi,

Have you tried repeat option as suggested by suman.

Try to compress by manual, at Info cube--> manage--> Collapse, Request Id: 21665, click on release and check job log.
