Hello,
I have a simple question.
Keywords: PP-order, settlement to material (MAT) or SD-order item (SDI)
When does SAP decide which settlement receiver (MAT or SDI) has to be taken into the settlement?
I have a settlement profile within the order type in place which allows for a settlement to both receivers.
Thanks a lot for help
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
If you are using Make to stock process default settlement rule is MAT, SDI will come into picture if you are using the Make to Order (Valuated Stock Sales Order an Cost object and Non Valuated Stock Sales Order an Cost Object).
Thanks & Regards

Hi Srinu,
can you tell me where in customizing (SPRO) I "tell" SAP when it has to use MAT and when SDI.
I checked the settlement profiles and they all look the same but behave differently (MAT/SDI).
I thought is was the other way round (non valuated with sales order => SDI, valuated stock => MAT ?!).
I actually have an issue when it comes to a settlement of a PP-order to SD order or material.
The only area I can imagine are the requirements classes. But this is only SD not PP.
Thanks a lot for hints.
With kind regards
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Depending on the scenario system will create the settlement rule,
MAT is created production / process order scenario.
SDI is not linked to PP and it will be created only for Non Valuated Stock and for Valuated stock only for Sales order as an cost object. (Valuated Stock Sales Order is not an cost object scenario system will create the settlement rule as MAT).
Hope this will help you to understand better.
Thanks & Regards
Srinu
