Hi,
My client is asking me to explain each and every standard report. i am facing lot of problems in that..like fields, calculations and the logic. i have referred help.sap.com in this i did not find much explanation for the standard reports. please help how i can explain the standard reports.
As a technical consultant its difficult for me to explain the logic.
Hi,
As my exp, users don't need that much detailed information. if users asking you directly then you no need to reply .
you need to follow as per the agreement between you(comp) and client. check with your pm and tl. accordingly you can respond. if you explain each and every point in detailed level then there is no need of you coming days.
there is no other easy to explain. rather than explaining first give sap links and ask them to read. if they have any doubts revert you back.
Thanks

Hi Sudha,
Follow as Raman says, along with that ask user what level of information they need to understand. Obviously they will not need each and every thing, pick the topics like
1. What is the functionality of the report. For example: This reports gives you query runtime statistics/DTP statistics/Balance Sheet/Profit & Loss
2. What are the KPIs involved and which are the dimensions can be used to analyze the KPI (Keyfigures and Characteristics)
3. Use of Filter, Free Characteristics.
4. What are the different possible navigation (drilldown/slice/dice).
5. Demonstrate by executing report by performing the operations.
First agree upon the points which are useful to user to use the report . Don't and need not to explain everything, it will be obvious as above said in future they will not need you.
Also it is good experience to face user and explain the things.
All the best! hope above points helps you.
