    Hi,

Ideally you should Maximize the push-down operations to the database server and not the other way around. So you should be looking at scaling your database server to handle the heavey requests.

However in answer to your question, the Data_Transfer transform and Database links and linked datastores enables the push down so you can eliminate those as well as reverse back some of the push down operations as specified in the "Performance Optimization Guide" http://help.sap.com/bods40

    thanks

    Hello

That is a good question. If your pushdown operations are slow and/or consuming too much database resource, the only thing to do is to trick Data Services into not generating pushdown SQL. This is not as easy as you might think because the optimser is so efficient (yes, I do work for SAP). Mixing datastores, different db credentials, data transfer transform and custom functions can all effect the optimiser.

Alternatively, beef up your database server! 😉

    Hi Prasanna,

I am trying to answer your question below

1- If you don't want to use pushdown , you can use Pagable cache and (since as you have told that load is getting high on the database server means you have lot many things to execute) increase it form the Server Manager.

2- You can use DOP and Run as a separate process ,but remember you should have good amount of memory.

3 -To stop push down you can use the Breakpoint.(but as per my experience it will reduce the performance). but where ever you are requiring pushdown you can use it.

4- I agree most of the transform can not be pushdown , but to increase the performance you can break the whole logic with the help of Data_Transfer Transform/ Run as a Separate Process(if available in your case)

Not very much sure, how much will it help you.. 😊

    Try and update thread
