SAP ERP 6.0 IDES SYSTEM COPY ERROR

Hi gurus

   i recently installing sap ecc6.0 ides, we are installing with system copy method

   the issue is we got one error, but the thing system working fine , while installation

   last phase it was asking DDIC error. i have give password for DDIC it was not accepting..

   and displays a error.  i have attach the screen shot . the thing  system is working fine iam able to

  login with 800.i am in a state of dilama is this instalation correct or not?

Hi,

When you are in this step, the system must be started. Can you please try to login 000 client via DDIC and your password?

If you can't login, please try to login with another user to client 000 and unlock DDIC and change the password.

And then please try again.

Hi Veerra,

This is a common error while performing system copy incase your ddic passwords does not match the master password provided during the installation.

You need to do the following

1) set the profile parameter rdisp/login_no_sapstar = 0

2) restart SAP

3) Delete SAP* from client 000 using sql command

     delete from <SChema>.USR02 where mandt='000' and bname='SAP*'.

4) login with SAP* user and password as pass.

5) Reset the password of user DDIC

6) Login with DDIC and confirm the new password

7) Retry the failed step by putting the new DDIC password.

tahnks for the replay, did u have any  sap notes in this isue please tell me ,,and one more iam planing to up grade the kenal. this is having 700 rel kernal. but the thing is there is no REL KERNAL in smp, how to identify the rel kernal in smp

Hi Veerra,

For above issue solution there is no SAP note. It is basically from experience.

For SAP kernel 7.20 for your IDES system you can look into following link on http://service.sap.com/patches

thanks deepak , my question is  my system   ECC6.0 IDES Consiting of 700 REL Kernal,

   but there is no  upgrade version 720 Rel Kernal is not available in  SMP. Could i down load the 720 ext kernal and upgrade it . i think  u can not upgrade it to 720 ext kernal. can u clear me

Hi,

You can also download the 720_EXT kernel and upgrade your 700 Rel Kernel to 720_EXT

720_EXT is downward compatible.

Hi,

Yes you can install 720_EXT Kernel on your system.

Check SAP Note 1636252 - Installing a 7.20 kernel in SAP Web AS 7.00/7.01/7.10/7.11
