Problem in form 16 reporting

Hi SAP GURUS,

In my organisation an employee separated on 28.02.2013. His separation action date is maintained as 01.03.2013 in employee master. As employee is separated on 28.02.2013 so his income tax should calculate from 01.04.2012 to 28.02.2013. But while generatiing form 16 his income tax is calculated for the whole financial year i. e from 01.04.2012- 31.03.2013 instead of calculating from 01.04.2012- 28.02.2013. Please suggest why it is calculating for the whole financial year when the employee is separated on 28.02.2013.

    Dear Surupa,

    For that employee go to pu03. in "Run Payroll Upto" field put 31.03.2013.

    So, for the month of March also his payroll will run, but no payment will consider.

    After that try to generate Form16 for that employee.

    Your issue must be solved then.

    The reason for the issue might be as follows - before termination of the employee the payroll has run for the employee. As till then the employee was active, income tax was calculated and considered the projection. After separation as his payroll has not run, in cluster the employee has been treated as active only.

    Please update id the issue still persists.
