Hi All,

After the migration to BI 4.0 i am getting errors on the object in the business layer as

1. The object on which the business object 'object_name' is based is not valid. But i am able to validate the query. why?

2. error -- "Query script generation failed. See your BusinessObjects administrator. {0} (WIS 00013)"

i am getting the above error while validating the prompt/object.

Please help!

Thanks!

Thanks for all your reply!

I got the issue now. Actually the problem is with the parameters.

Say you have class A and class B and they have some prompts created in the earlier version with the same prompt display.

in this case after migartion in IDT you will not have all the parameters(prompts) created. it will miss out on few parameters. This we need to create manually again. This solve the issue.

Hi,

If your Webi report is based on BEx query, see ADAPT01675233

Description

This problem is resolved on BI4.0 SP06 and above.

New Behavior

When you create a Web Intelligence document based on a BEx query with default values set in the BW backend, the following error can appear if at least one of the default values is no longer available in the list of available values retrieved from the server and the default values are presented as one single string (so individual values cannot be removed):

Query script generation failed. See your BusinessObjects administrator.

Hope this helps,

Hi JinChong,

Thanks for the reply but my universe is connecting with oracle database. Will it have the same effect?

Is it the same in the case of oracle database connection also?

Appreciate all your help!

Thanks,

Hi,

Since you "... But i am able to validate the query", I think your objects are still valid in the Oracle backend although Atul suggests SAP NOTE 1821096.

Hope you can test and validate your report and universe in a BI4.0 SP06 sandbox.
