How to make Picking Automatic in VL01N Screen itself

Dear All,  I have a requirement where in my client want to have automatic picking in VL01n Screen itself i.e. when the user enter the details in VL01N the picking qty should come and also system all to make changes in picking qty in VL01N screen only. I already tried with Print picking list with output type EK00 but its not fulling my requirement as the picking qty is coming in VL02N Screen but I want the the picking qty should come in VL01N itself.  Please suggest me if their is a way to fix this issue in standard system or I need to go for some enhancement.  Thanks...  Regards,  Sumeet Sah

It is not possible to do picking in exit during VL01N. Please save your effort.

There are many things that runs duing picking including block of stock for other Sales order. It is not simply putting the picking qty in the field and make it works.

If there are many items, the best way is to review whether their OB should still have picking relevancy and maybe user should just change delivery qty.

If warehouse function is available, picking qty can be automatic in WM.

In VL01N in the menu path for Edit-->  you can confirm the items for picking.  What you can do is discuss with an ABAPer if there is a BADI/user exit that can be invoked when the delivery is created.

Hi,

If you are not using WM then you can do manual picking  means in VL01n you can put manual picking qty in picking tab. which is editable..

But if you are using WM then automatic picking will happen and it will create along with saving of delivery document. for that need some customization. like :-

1:- t code: OVLP. Check item category “relevant for picking”

2:- Setting need to be done according to you WM like Lean or full WM.

3:-  In Delivery output procedure you have to add a standard cond type WMTA which is assigned to your delivery type.

4:- need to maintain condition record for your cond type WMTA  with tcode; V V 21:-

Check it will help your requirement.

Dear Pitabash,  Thanks for the reply, client don't want to put is manually they want the picking qty should come automatically as their are lot of line item and as the business meed they had to change the picking qty as when in the Create screen only i.e. VL01N.  We have not implemented WM. Please let me if this is possible in standard system any how or I need to look for some ABAP development.  Thanks...

Hi Sumeet,

Then follow the setting I have mentioned above from 1 to 4 for customization of automatic Picking.

But it will create once you save the delivery . then you can see in document flow as there will be a WMS transfer order has been created.
