Issue setting up IDOC listener in SAP MII 12.2.5

Dear Experts,

When trying to set up RFC connection in SAP ERP to connect to SAP MII we get an error that the registry entry for the program ID is missing. It sounds like 'Program ID is not registered'.

When we try to set up the IDOC listener in MII and enter the program ID and save, the listener saves successfully and no error message is triggered. It is also in green color. But when trying to use it in SAP it gives error. I think that the program ID did not get registered by the steps we followed in MII. Could this be an authorization issue? Any other configuration that could be missing?

PS: I followed all steps of the document: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a02bc706-15f2-2c10-1aab-a1927ada11f0?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Regards,

Saumya Govil

    Hi Saumya,

The program ID should be automatically registered in NW when the instructions are followed explicitly. I would suggest that you create a new IDoc Listener from scratch and make sure you use a ProgramID which is both unique and never used before. If you are still having problems, then I suggest opening a ticket (you may send me the number) in CSS. I can help follow it along. While I have not tested the instructions on your version, I did verify that they worked on an early release (Ramp Up) system a long time back.

What version and SP of NW is MII installed on?

    Regards, Mike
