Is there a way of deciding the maintenance based on the environment where the EQ is used?
For example if the EQ is used in a desert environment that will have an impact on the maintenance interval as well as the tasklist.
We also have scenarios where maintenance on EQ is different when the EQ is in use or if it is in stock.
Kristoffer,
Have a look at configurable general task lists: https://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/c0/04cf0c4ebb11d189110000e8322f96/frameset.htm

The problem is that this would require manual input by the user. Our requirement is that the system should select different maintenance plans based on how the EQ is used or stored. It's the selection of MP that I would like to be able to influence based on environmental parameters.
We use configurable materials on EQ level so each EQ have classification that indicate how and where it's used. This could be used to select the correct MP but then we have to use ABAP and I would prefer to solve this with SAP standard.
Configurable task lists does not need manual input by the user (although this is possible).
You classify the equipment with the relevant environmental setting (e.g. light, medium, heavy impact).
Then you create your config profile, then the general task list with the relevant dependencies and packages.
The maintenance plan will then create orders with the relevant operations.
The same thing could be achieved with BADI IWO1_TL_INTEGRATION.

Hi again,
Any suggestions on how to be able to influence the call horizon based on the environmental changes?
When we have a maintenance cycle of 5 years (not in use) compared to 3 month (in use) then we need to have different call horizons. Would it be possible to handle this by using the packages?
Check the feasibility of Condition Based Maintenance.
You can't map your exact requirement, but still you can give a try.
