If you are new in SAP BI/BO then you must not be having any role till now. If he asked this question then he must considered you as an experienced guy in SAP BI/BO.

Generally this question is asked to understand your previous responsibilities and work area.

Like there are many work areas in SAP BI/BO..

BW Modeling

BW Development

BW Support

BW Process Chain Responsibilities

BI Requirements/Developments

BI Web Intelligence Reports Development

BI Dashboards Development

BI Content Management

BI Administration

BI Support

etc....

Can you please clarify for what product your question is in relation to- this

When you say that you are new in SAP BI/BO are you working with a Partner working with SAP? If you have an employer then they would seem the obvious person to ask, I do not know what your role is.
