dear expert ;

As i inderstand that shedule indicator in mrp run =2 means that lead time scheduling and capacity requirment are generated , so i tried to run my mrp twice one with shedule indicator =1 and other time with indicator=2 , my question is : where can i see the dates difference ? and where can i see the capacity requirment difference between the two run ??

thank you in advance

Hi Amal

If you run MRP with scheduling indicaror 1 MRP only calculates the basic dates, considering the in-house production time from the material master.

If you run MRP with scheduling indicator 2, MRP calculates the operation dates using the information from the routing and you will be able to see this information on the tab 'detailed scheduling' on the planned orders. With scheduling indicator 1 this tab does not exist on the planned orders created by MRP.

Also, you will only be able to see the capacity requirements on the work center for this order on CM01 if you run MRP with scheduling indicator 2.

Hi Amal,

Assuming that you already have the MRP run and planning results/scheduled planned orders for a particular material -

Can you use the 'Simulation mode' and/or 'Display results before saving' ?

(say in MD02/MD03; we do not have these options in MD01)
