Finished Goods Valuation

Dear All,

We are in food and beverage industry and using STD cost for FG and SFG

valuation. ( MTS Scenario)

The value of RM used in the production is very volatile and changing

every day. To have more realistic STD cost we have planned for everyday

costing run. This STD cost is also relevant for every day Sales Price

determination.

Now the requirement is we don’t want to update/ change the value of FG

already in stock ( as after costing run material in stock gets revalued

by new STD cost) and new STD cost should be used for new production.

(the difference of values is very high and we need to maintain track of

it)

We have checked the Material Ledger functionality but it is not

relevant for our requirement since actual cost is workout at the end of

the period where as our need is everyday control of cost for Inventory

valuation as well as Sales Price determination.

Please suggest the best solution for FG valuation in Food and Beverage

industry.

Per my understanding, this will not fit in to to standard SAP solution, you may have to go for customization. first, you can raise a note to SAP and see what SAP is going to suggest.
