Hi all,

I got a quick question. I am trying to restore a 10.0 environment from one system to other system. The probelm is, the user ID is differnet in second system.

I can see the environment in the backend, but can't see the same in web. Not sure where to change the user ID for the 'Environment' and 'Models'.

Appreciate your help.

Regards,

Hi Nagendra,

You need to provide the necessary task profiles and data access profiles to the user, to enable user to see the environment and models.

Go to planning and consolidation administration -> security tab and assign proper task profiles to your user id, you will be able to see the environment and model.

Task profiles would be manage environment and manage models.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

Thanks for answering the question.

I know how to assign the Roles/Data access profiles to the user. My situation is a bit different.

I was using TestUser ID for Sandbox. I have some prototype there and now I want that environment into Developement box for further testing. These two systems are not connected and the USER ID is not the same.

So, when I have RESTORE the Envrionment in Dev BOX, I could see that in back end. What I have to do to get that one available in Web?

It is NOT 7.5 to 10. Upgrade. It is just restore from one box to other.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Sonti

Hi,

Do you see any error in UJA_DATA_CHECKER for your shell? Are there any other environments present in the system?

Do you see environment shell in web in your other system?

Hi Sonti,

Security roles/profiles are environment dependant.

So you need to use a user with SAP_ALL profile to access the the restored environment via bpc web and add other users to such environment via web admin->security.

Hi Nagendra,

Please login to the new environment using the installation ID. And then assign appropriate authorizations to the other IDs.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Nilanjan,

I got this issue solved by having the Admin assing the Environment to my user ID.
