Hi Dear experts ,

i have a business process in which the Time entry is Maintained in CATS2 by HR and the entries to flow in Service Work Order we Use CATS9 , but some of the SWO's are not confirmed after our Batch job runs in the back ground , and every time business is asking us to provide a better solution to over come this issue .

we have taken SAP help and they have given one correction program to run ( CATSTCR_2) and one T-code to run which is iw46 ( reprocessing incorrect confirmations ).but this is giving us a dump because of huge data is run through.

please help me with some T-code / Programm/  where i can run all confirmations collectively with out getting any dump .

Thanks & RegardsMohammed Khan

Do you know why some of the time confirmations are failing?

Check the CATSDB table to ensure the records are present, and check their status.

Also check IW46 for any failed confirmations.

Hi Pete ,

You are right , we been through Table CATSDB , CATSPM ,iw46 and we have a correction program too  . but business wants a permanent soultion for it , since for the huge data which is giving dump and business doesnt like to use this functionality time and then.

so please suggest me what could be the best option wether to go for custom developement or any other way.

your quick response would be highly appreciated.

You won't be able to stop all errors e.g. locked orders...

However, you can reduce the number of failed entries in CATS by performing some basic validation checks (via user-exit) before allowing the user to save the records in CAT2.

You could also write a small batch program that tries to re-process the IW46 errors, and if any remain, then send an email to a responsible person.
