Hi Experts

I need Answers for below question in one of the interview

1.How to Load data from Flat File/Excel to BW using BODS what is the Process?

2.In the Excel i have the Header in the 6th row how to skip the data before the Header and Skip the Header  similar to flat files in BODS ?

2.  Answer :- 1. Drag & drop the excel into workplace as source file.

step 2. click on excel  -> Source TAB ->Skip_First :6

Hi Madhu,

For Answer1,

1. Create BW datastore and establish a connection to the BW system.

2. Under Datastore->Master Transfer structure, import the info Source by name.

3. Use the same as the target table.

Flow should be like

Source(Flat file /Excel) -> Query Transfrom -> Target (BW info source)
