Hi Experts,
i have a situation here.
I have created a sales order with MTO item. This material has a RLT of 10 days maintained in MRP 1 view of the material master.
The problem is the system is letting me create the delivery even when i have not posted the sales order stock for this item if the confirmed delivery date lies BEFORE this RLT.
does the "CHECK WITHOUT RLT" Indicator in OVZ9 has something to do with this? it is CHECKED in my case.
if not then what are the other settings required to rectify this issue?
Thanks,
Siddhant
Thanks Siva.
Hi Naren,
i am sorry that was a typo error when i mentioned MRP 1. i was referring MRP 3 view. The problem faced by the client is that for MTO item, as the CHECK WITHOUT RLT indicator is enabled in OVZ9, they are able to create the delivery for the MTO sales order when the confirmed delivery date is before the RLT. in this case they are able to create the delivery even before the sales order stock is posted for that MTO item.
Thanks,
Siddhant

Dear,
When you make Field " With out RLT " in OVZ9 ,then you have to be maintain some timings in Materiel Master why because this Field is depends upon 3 timings .
1. Inhouse Production Time
2. RLT Time
3. Goods Receipt Time
I request you tom read below document .

Note : If you dont mind, can you share some screen shots relevant this problem for better understanding .
Thanks,
Naren
Dear,
RLT Field present in MRP3 View not in MRP1 View .
I request you to please see F1 help of without RLT Field in OVZ9 then you can come to conclusion .

hi Siva,
they are using order ATP only. The problem is the Availability logic is ignoring the RLT and confirming the quantities (delivery creation) when the confirmed delivery date lies before the RLT. i believe this is because the CHECK WITHOUT RLT indicator is active in OVZ9. i just want to confirm whether we can solve the problem by unchecking just that indicator or there are some other settings which are required.
Thanks,
Siddhant

hi Santosh,
NO the item category does not have the special stock E maintained in it. But i want to understand what relevance it has to my issue?
the system works as expected when the confirmed delivery date is after the RLT but it allows the creation of delivery if the confirmed delivery date is before the RLT.
Pls suggest.
Thanks,
Siddhant

hi
MTO process
when you activate the atp at order level , system it takes OVZ9 02 AE settings , here you deactivate the with out RLT ,
RLT time it takes first order level , based or RLT time system takes ( like 10 days after conform the conform the quantity )
like to day create the order based on material RLT time, so RLT days working at order level only , not for delivery level ,
its depending on business requirement , some clients need ORDER ATP, some clients no need ,
some clients ORDER AND DELIVERY ATP, some clients only delivery level ,
but normal DELIVERY ATP is IMP .
on your case RLT days works at order atp only , without order atp it is not working
pl conform on your process which level atp,

hi Warren,
what do you want to imply here. should i create a MTO sales order for a MTO material when it is already in stock as a general stock and not a sales order stock for another order? I am unable to understand what will i decipher out of this.
Please elaborate.
Thanks,
Siddhant

hi Moazzam,
I am not referring here to the PGI. i am just refering to the ability to create the delivery document for MTO when the sales order stock is not yet posted against that sales order and still i am able to create the delivery if the confirmed delivery date falls within the RLT maintained for the material.
For example, i have maintained an RLT of 10 days for material 12345 in the material master (MRP 1 View - Planned Delivery Time). I create the sales order and the system proposes a confirmed delivery date which is 4 days ahead from today's date, then in this case the system is letting me create the delivery document without even putting the sales order stock.
The "CHECK WITHOUT RLT" indicator is enabled for this material's availability checking rule (OVZ9). I believe this is the reason why the system is ignoring the Planned Delivery Time (RLT). I just want to confirm that.
Thanks,
Siddhant

1. Check your planning strategy
2. Check in MD04
3. Do a test with a material with stock only and create an MTO order without completing production.

Dear
In MTO process usually there is availability check at delivery order not on sale order, Have you done PGI and is system allowing you to do PGI? Please check this and share. Also share which item category and schedule line category you are using for this process?
Thank$
