Hi All, how do queries with very high number of cell definitions expected to perform in BW on HANA in comparison to BW on other DBs. Pl advise. Thanks.
Hi Saurabh,
Please take a look at this blog and the related links:

Thanks Gabor. As much as I understand from this document, running complex queries ( with several cell definitions) on HANA views should improve query performance ( in comparison to traditional views). But, how will the same query perform if its based on a cube (HANA Optimised and Non-HANA Optimised) or a DSO in BW on HANA.
Besides, do we have any statistics to support the magnitude of the potential gains that BW on HANA can provide for such queries.
Pl advise. Thanks.
Hi Saurabh,
The blog is actually about BW queries (on top of BW InfoProviders).
In terms of InfoCubes you need to convert them to the flat structure (HANA-optimized) to benefit from SAP HANA. Non-HANA optimized cubes won't deliver better performance.
Reporting on DSO would also benefit from HANA with comparable performance to InfoCubes.
Unfortunately I do not have statistics - the performance improvement with BW on HANA compare to BW on RDBMS is vary based on several factors.
