Hello,

I would like to check what are possible options to hide the Coding fields below, when using QF01 Defects Recording?

Steps:

1. Defects Recording (QF01)

2. Select the item in item overview, click Activate Notification button.

Regards,

Win

Are you not using this? If you want to use the field why would you hide this?

If you want to hide it, go into the confiugration for the notiification type, find the field and mark it as hidden.

There are several dicsussions/blogs/wiki's on the subject of field control in notifications. Please search and get back to us if you have problems.

Hello Craig,

Yes, we will not use the field.

I checked configuration below and was not able to find the field that we want to hide. Is it possible to add the field that we want to hide in the configuration below?

Best Regards,

Win

In config: QM--> Quality Notifications-->Notification Creation-->Notifcation Type--> Define Screen Templates.

On pop-up menu select one of the four "Field Selection:xxxxxxxxxx" for the applicable area you are modifying.

Hello Craig,

I checked that and was not able to find the fields that we want to hide. Maybe the program SAPLQFFE for QF01 tcode is not included in the config. Is it possible to add the fields that we want to hide?

Fields to hide:

QFOBJ-QMGRP

QFOBJ-QMCOD

I haven't really spent time actually trying to do what you are trying to do. But the notifications are highly configurable.

It might be that for that partiuclar item, you might need to remove or change a screen area or something. Maybe remove that catalog type as well from the notification.

Hello Craig,

Thank you for your feedback, I really appreaciate it. Is there a way to include the screen used in program SAPLQFFE to the config for "Define screen templates"? So we can control the fields there (hide or unhide) instead of doing some changes in the code to hide the fields.

config: QM--> Quality Notifications-->Notification Creation-->Notifcation Type--> Define Screen Templates.

On pop-up menu select one of the four "Field Selection:xxxxxxxxxx" for the applicable area you are modifying.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Win

It's hard to say. I don't have an "II" notification type and I don't know from which one your company created that from. Typically we copy from Q1, Q2, or Q3. Maybe F1, F2, or F3. Then we reconfigure from there.

I don't see a heading called "Problem details" in the standard notifications unless I missed it. I didn't search in everyone.

Normally I would of suspected that to be the "Subject" in the standard F3/Q3. I believe that would be under screen area 005 - Reference Object.

But since it looks like you already have a custom notification type (II) configured for your system, it's almost impossible to give you much guidance on this because I have no reference.
