Problem with integration of crystal report in SAP portal

Dear SAP community,

our system landscape is:

SAP Portal 7.02 SP12

SAP BI ABAP+JAVA 7.02 SP6

BOE server 14.0.5

The BI system is the user store for the BO server.

In the portal we created 3 URL iViews that point to different crystal reports, e.g.:

https://<fqh>:<Port>/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=<CUID>&SAP_SYSID=ABC&SAP_CLIENT=100

The preview of the iViews works perfectly. But when calling the iViews from the portal navigation (with or without a page around it), the following happens: 1. We get a warning because access to portal is via https and the BO iViews are only integrated with http. 2. When clicking again on the iView the BO login page appears for 0.2 seconds and then the error message “Document not found” appears. 3. When navigating back to the portal and clicking again on the same iView, the report appears!

So what is the difference between calling the iView in preview mode and through portal navigation? Why do we need three tries to make the report appear?

We also tried to call the report with the Crystal Report URL, but then no SSO is possible and the users would have to login again. Also, we would have to use the ID of the report which is not recommended. The report would be called correctly.

SAP authentication and SSO with SAP logonticket to the apps opendocument and BI works fine. For CMC only SAP logon is possible but no SSO configured.

Any ideas what could cause this error?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Fabian

Hi,

Did you tried assigning SSO to a report in CMC?.

in CMC>> select the report and in properties and DB logon>> select "Single Sign On".

Once checked save and run the report in portal. User should be able to longin with out asking creadentials.

Thanks,

Jothi

Dear Jothi,

thanks a lot for your hint. If you are talking about the parameter

So SSO basically works. Only when calling the iView from within portal navigation it does not work in the first place. In iView preview mode or when entering the URL to the report directly in the browser it works fine.

Best regards,

Fabian

Hi,

What do you mean "Calling IView from the portal"?. and it works when you view the report in portal and also when clicking on URL of the report?.

Thanks,

Jothi

Hi Jothi,

I mean that the preview of the iView works fine, but not when calling the iview via portal navigation.

SAP support is currently working on it. It seams that note 1804310 can help in that case. We will do further tests and I'll post the update here when ready.

Thanks for your help,

Fabian
