PFCG Role and launch pad Role issue

Hi,

I have doubt in PFCG Role and launch pad Role

Let me know what is difference if you use PFCG role and launch role .I hope both are WD ABAP component role

please let me know what are the cases we need to use PFCG role and what are the cases we need to use Launch pad role

    • Hi Prasad,

      it depends on whether you use NWBC or an En

      terprise Portal, this is the main question.

      • If you use NWBC you need the PFCG Roles for Authorizations AND for UI Visualization.
      • If you use Enterprise Portal you need the PFCG Role for Authorizations, the Launchpad for UI Visualization Input and a Portal Role with an iView that points to the Application HRESS_A_MENU to process the UI-Tree-Input provided by the Launchpad for rendering.

      In fact, now that I read my own post, I'm pretty much saying the same things as in Sagar Joshi's Blog that Sagar Gadre pointed you to....so I'm unsure whether I understood what is unclear for you..
