Hi All,

My time dimension has week wise planned data. user want to compare month data(planned data) with any day(actual data) of that month.

Eg: 2013.MAY(planned data) with MAY 23 2013(actual data).

i have week level planned data and day wise actual data.

here, i want to add one more dimension which contain days.

is there any better idea???

    Hi Naidu,

If your planning is at week level, then dont add any further dimension. Probably, you can have a separate model just to store the actual data at the day level. In this you can have the time dimension with granularity at day level. Your template should fetch the plan data at week level from the planning cube, and the actual data should be fetched from the actual cube.

    Hope this helps.

    • Hi Nilanjan,

      Thanks for good idea.

i need to satisfy one more requirement i.e for some account members, user can provide month level data(both plan and actual) and reporting level also month wise only for that members.

As per your suggestions, i can maintain month level members in time(using) dimension and for remaining account members can use one more application(it contains week wise plan data and day wise actual data).

i am not familiar with templates which fetch the data from multiple applications.

can u pls provide one template ( if u created) which contains multiple applications data??

      Thanks and Regards,
