Hi,

we have archived some objects in our ECC system. Now we need to change the SAP SID for this system, but we have the doubt about if this archived objects will be available once we change the SID .

Can someone help us?

Thanks a lot and best regards, Sapera

Hi,

When you create and Archive file SID of the system gets stored in the attrib files.

So I feel there could be an impact when you change SID of the system where archiving has been executed.

You may double check with SAP OSS Support.

In my experience you should not have any trouble when using a SAP Content Server. I frequently refresh my QA system and Content Server repository without issues.

Having said that always keep a backup of your currently environment before doing the system copy.

Hi,\

It's not only a refresh it's a refresh changing the SID. Do you use to refresh changing the SAP SID?

Thanks a lot, Sapera
