Need your help on Syndication

Hi Experts,

Please help me on below scenario

We have Item No : in the main table which is text field. with character "/" in between in the item no(99888-12VW/000M).

Now we want to syndicate the data to 3 text fields as per below logic.

Free Text 1 : Extract all characters before slash. Also exclude one character before slash.

Free Text 2 : Extract character before slash.

Free Text 3 : Extract characters after slash.

Please let me know is there any possiblity to put the logic in Syndicator.

Thanks

Krish

    Hi Krishnaiah,

I think this fuctionality is not possible via syndicator. If PI is involved in landscape, you could check with PI team member if its possible to achieve such a split functionality. To achieve this you can ask PI consultant to have sender channel as File adapter with message protocol as content conversion. Later you will get an option to separate fields based on your requirement.

Please check and let us know.

    Regards,

    Ali

    Hi Krishnaiah,

If this activity has to be performed automatically daily, then there is no option to automate this.

It will certainly include manual tasks to be performed to achieve this.

Someone has to prepare text file daily and paste it in application server, then use Merge Items functionality in syndication map to achieve this.

Otherwise the best option would be to use PI to split single field in to 3 different fields and then distribute accordingly.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Ankush
