FB50: Restrict access to Post

Hi,

We have a requirement to restrict users to post only one document say 'X' through FB50 transaction. Is there anyway in FB50 tcode, we could make the default setting to document type 'X' and not allow the users to change it?

Appreciate your response.

Thanks,

    Hi RP,

You could create new validation using T code OB28 by which you could restrict user to use only the document type you want it to and you can create your own error message if the user uses other document type.

Kindly revert back if you are not sure of how to do it and I will help you writing the validation.

    Hi,

You can use validation to restrict Posting for the document type through T. Code.

    Write the validation,

    Use T.code OB28 -- create with callpnt 1 for Header -

Prerequisite - Company code xxxxx and T. code FB50

Check ------ Document type Not Equal to X

Message -- create Custom Error massage

    Regards

    Hi

I do not think that FB00 would be the right way, since the user can still change that by going to person profile in SU3. Additionally, FB00 also controls many personal preferences for a user and should not be restricted.

Validation is the correct way to build in a custom rule.

    Hi R.P.

Above said requirement fulfilled with guidance. Otherwise you may do mentioned customization for enjoy transaction where system pick default document type. Do settings for OBZO.
