Is CMS needed inorder to use Eclipse Plug-in ?

Hello All,

We are currently using PI 7.3. We use File System for transporting the files and do not use CMS.

Do we need to configure CMS before using Eclipse plug-in with CE 7.2 for PI 7.3 ?

Hi Kiran,

If you are using NWDI in CE environment (not using manual object deployment in higher environments), you should use CMS.

Hi Nabendu,

We want to use NWDS studio to create ESR objects using PI.

We don't have CMS set up for moving PI objects to the higher environments.We use file System for transporting the files in PI from DEV to TST and PRD.

We wanted to know if inorder to use NWDS studio to edit ESR object do we have to enable CMS for PI 7.3.

Hi Kiran,

Its not mandatory if you are also using NWDS.
