Currently my BOM is set like this
FERT A
- VERP 1
- VERP 2
- VERP 3
FERT B
- VERP 1
- VERP 2
- VERP 3
FERT C
- VERP 1
- VERP 2
- VERP 3
Now i would like to simplify it to
GROUP (X)
- VERP 1
- VERP 2
- VERP 3
FERT A
- GROUP (X)
FERT B
- GROUP (X)
FERT C
- GROUP (X)
GROUP (X) is just a grouping where it groups the VERP together. It will not incur any cost, stock or route. Does SAP provide BOM grouping as to this scenario?
Hi
You can define GROUP(X) as a material code and maintain all VERP materials under this BOM of GROUP (X).
Create this material GROUP (X) as phantom material which is defined by special procurement key "50" in material master.
And this material is only for reference and it does not incurr any cost if you define it as Phantom and it explodes when you use this material in any BOM and explodes VERP material for use.
