Hi,
We are using EP 7.3. I was supposed to change the permission of a folder where I had to add everyone role to it and check the the end user check box for the same. After adding the Everyone role, I saved before checking on the end user box. Now, the everyone role is disabled and I'm unable to edit it. I need to be able to modify the everyone role and check the end user check box. Please advise.
Thanks,
Ash
Hi Ash,
This is a known issue whereas a user cannot change/remove its own permissions. Meaning, permissions of a role or a group he is assigned to.
This issue is fixed in 7.3 SP05 latest patch (and above).

Hi Ashwin,
The alternative is to remove the everyone role from the user you are using (via UME). Make sure the user is not assigned with this role in any indirect way (you can use the "Search Recursively" option in the UME to do so).
Then, you should be able to edit the permissions of everyone role via the permissions editor.
Don't forget to assign the everyone role back.

Hi Gigit and Mahesh,
Thank you for the information. I was unable to change the everyone role property but managed to add specific roles to the folders as per the user group which turned out to work.
Thanks again,
Ashwin

Hi Ash,
I recommend that you will take a look at SAP Note number 1867729.
If you are using 7.30 lower than SP05, it is most likely the solution to your issue.

Ash,
The user id which you have logged doesn't have sufficient permission to changes permission of the folder.
As suggested abovem, Login with a super admin user and change settings.
Thanks.

Hi Ash,
Try using a superadmin user and see if you can now able to edit.
