Data Source Transport Error

Hello,

I have activated a 3.5 data source in Development and migrated to 7.X data source. While  import the 7.0 data source into quality system i am getting the following error.

InfoSource 0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL is not available in source system BWQCLNT010

Error when activating DataSource 0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL BWQCLNT010

Message no. RSO404

Please let me know if miss anything.

Hi Saleem,

I guess you are missing out mentioning about your datasource in ECC because you should be having a datasource in 3.5 first so that the system can convert the same objects to 7.5.

Let us know if it's otherwise.

Hi Saleem,

Please check this options.

While replicating data source into bw side, there you can migrate your data source to 7.x.

While transportting data source, first you need to transport data source from ECC to Quality ecc.

Hi Saleem

Did you follow the below steps?

A.transport changes in DEV ECC to QA  ECC

B.Replicate the datasource in BW  ( Before moving BW transport)

C.transport cahnges in DEV BW to QA BW

But before doing this just check if the Objects are fine in BW QA system. Sometimes, even if transport fails , objects get transported.    If your DataSource is still inactive, you can only move DataSource and transformation from BW DEV to BW QA.

It is a BI data source i have activated in BW development system through RSA5. it is not a ECC data source.

Hi,

SAP Defined data source making active in ecc system t code RSA5, while replicating you can choose as per options like business content one etc..(3.x) for bw 7.x jsut replciate data source and activate it.

Did you replicate MySAP BW Connection in in DEV after migrating DataSource and before collection of DS in transport?

Below are the steps i did.

2. Migrated 3.5 Data source to 7.X data source

3. Collected the transport and imported to BWQ.

Between step 2 and 3 replicate DataSource in My SAP BW Connection ( BW to BW).

Once done, activate DataSource, and collect transformation and DataSource.

Sorry i did the same.

2. Replicated the through RSA1

3. Migrated 3.5 Data source to 7.X data source

4. Collected the transport and imported to BWQ.
