Clean up price list

Dear all,

I realized that in the past, our users have create 610 price list with 23,896 items and ended with 14,576,560 records inside ITM1 table.

In fact each supplier supply different product but item group setup differently.

Need advise

- I remember there is no way to reduce the number of records inside price list table because when create a new price list, system will copy all items into ITM1 with the new pricelist number. Which means that if there are 10,000 items in item master, a new price list will copy 10,000 records into item price list with the newly added pricelist number.

I know how to delete the entire price list, but what I want to know the impact if I remove items from backend SQL to remove ITM1.

Can we remove items with zeros and null price from ITM1 from the backend SQP ? (ie: keep system default price list, but clean up user price list) .

Looking forward for the expert best practise if I have more than 20,000 items but each supplier supply different items. I think the best practise should be "Special Price List" for each supplier supplied items.

Thanks.

Joan.

    Hi Lisa

    Deleting Price Lists

    1. Choose Inventory ® Price Lists ® Price Lists.

    The Price List window appears.

    2. To delete a price list, select the row you want to delete.

    3. On the menu bar, choose Data ® Delete Row.

    4. To save the change, choose Update.

    5. In the confirmation window that appears, choose Yes.

    Note

    · Base price lists with dependent price lists cannot be deleted. To delete these lists, you first have to cancel the reference between the lists.

    · Price lists that are entered in the master record of a business partner cannot be deleted.

    · When you delete a price list, the price lists that follow in the list move up one position. The numbering of the remaining price lists changes accordingly.

    Hope Helpful 😊
