SNC Configuration on SAP GUI

Hi Experts,

I have to configure SNC for the our SAP environment. I have enabled SNC on the SAP server but unable to connect through SNC from client machine using SAP GUI.

Presently SNC is enabled on the server and SAP GUI users are able to logging as we have set the snc/insecure_gui_accept to 1.

Our Infrastructure:

1. We have our SAP server in ABC domain.

2. User logging to thier machine after authentication form XYZ domain ( XYZ\USER1)

3. User launches the aplication and put in the application username and password which are independent of both the domains. We donot have any domain authentication for application user i.e. aplication is not integrated to any domain.

Can you please usggest what should be the best way to configure SNC for end users using SAP GUI. Are ther some pre requisites from domain end before configuring SNC.

It would be great if you can provide some guide/notes. I have already read few guides but it didnot help due to the infrasturcture.

Please help

Thanks!!!

Saurabh Gautam

There has to be a one-way trust between the domains for SNC to work. The SAP server needs to trust the domain hosting the users for being able to send authentication requests. See the attached discussion for details.

See 's reply in the attached discussion thread. It serves as a good starting point for configuring SNC. There was recently also a blog/document posted for doing the same, I can't find it for some reason.
