FBL5N - Effective Exchange Rate in the Line Item wrong

Former Member

Dear All,

When posting document in Foreign Currency, user is giving exchange rate manually at document header, SAP is giving message "exchange rate **** deviates from table rate **** by X.YZ %" if there is a difference between user rate and table rate.

After entering the line item details (Local Currency amounts entered manually by user and FC amounts are automatically calculated based on document header rate which was entered by user) document is saved (Dr Customer and Cr GL)

When we go to FBL5N and see the line items of Customer in "Effective Exchange Rate in the Line Item" filed user entered manual exchange rate is not coming (even table rate also not appearing). It is displaying some other rate other than user rate and table rate.

Please give alternate solutions if any to bring user rate (or table rate maintained at OB08) in "Effective Exchange Rate in the Line Item" field

Thanks ... Ramesh

Better late than never... 🙂

Try setting the Reference Currency & Fixed flag on table TCURV in SPRO:

It worked for me in FBL3N.

Did you post that document with reference to another document? If you have posted that document with reference to another document then select check box recalculate local currency amounts in the initial screen of the post with reference document.

Hi Ramesh,

Firstly ,have you applied any logic on effective exchange rate field in standard reports,if no it is bug of SAP. Please share screen shots for further navigation. Finance document number with header details and FBL5N view with effective exchange rate. And also provide screen shot of BKPF exchange rate values with respect to both documents.

Regards

Dear Mani -- Thanks for reply...

We have not applied any logic for effective exchange rate, we are using SAP standard FBL5N only..

Finance Document Header exchange rate and BKPF-KURSF are same, only problem in display of FBL5N rate...

Hi.. What additional information (fields) you are expecting from screens, so that the screen will be added with that fields ...Documents are not posted either with reference and with clearing from some other documents...
