Hi,
SPS Patch upgrade has been done for EP 7.0 version from SP 20 to SP 26. Used NWDI Server version is 7.11.
Before Upgrade :
Windows XP - Operating System
IE7 - Browser
NWDS version - 7.0.20
After Upgrade :
Windows 7 - Operating System
IE9 - Browser
NWDS version - 7.0.26
Before patch upgrade, everything worked fine in IE7 browser.
After upgrading patch, we are facing strange issues like below. Then we created our WDJ projects in NWDS 7.0.26 and deployed it. Still facing the same UI text issues in IE9.
1. Spacing between letters in a word : For eg. Nimmi is coming like Nim m i in browser. This has happened in most of the screens wherever that particular word is there and for few other words too.
2. Truncation of a letter : For eg Below word is coming like Belov 'w' is getting truncated. This has happened in most of the screens wherever that particular word is there and for few other words too.
3. Export to Excel functionality not opening the Excel itself in IE9 browser.
Kindly guide me on the above issues. Check the attachments for better knowledge about the issues. Thanks in advance.

Hi Nimmi,
Have you tried running IE9 in compatibility mode? Also if you use the developer tools in IE9 (F12) you can force it to emulate IE8 or IE7 I think... might be worth trying this and seeing if this "fixes" the problems you are seeing.
I recently blogged about quirks mode - this might be related to these issues too.
You might also want to look at this SAP Note: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1296463

Hi Nimmi,
I looked at the PAM and IE9 is supported on Win7 with SP26, so in theory everything should be good... , but clearly you still have some issues.
Are you using the 32 or 64 bit version of IE9? This note suggests that the 64bit IE9 isn't supported:

If I were you I would raise a message with SAP and see if they have a solution for you.
Sorry I can't help more, hopefully SAP support can,
Simon
Hi,
I've mentioned the incorrect version actually. My IE9 browser version is 32bit only. After upgrade, export to excel functionality in my application is not working in both IE7 and IE9 browsers.
Error as below is coming while trying to export.
In IE7:
It is directly throwing this error, when I click on the link.
In IE9:
It is opening the browser with the header but not displaying it fully.
Kindly let me know if anyone faced this issue.
Regards,
Nimmi.S
