Add field to portal pages

Hi All,

I am working on a project where i need to add some fields to the portal page my SAP ERP2004.

These fields are not on the SAP std page. i did add them up in an config table in the backend, can one of you pls throw some light to what as to be done at the java or the portal side so that the field gets appeared.

I remember that a piece of code needs to be added using the JDK developer kit or netweveare dev studio.

Pls pls let me know of any such info you have.
