Match transform Edit options are not working

Hi ,

I am using Data Services 4.1 SP2 .  I tried use match transform but when I am clicking on edit options  I am not getting edition option window. I tried with re-installed in repair mode and created repository but still I am not getting edit options .

Was anyone able to really solve this problem?

We are facing the same issue here. In the options tab of the Match transform all options are greyed out. After switching the Filter from All to "Best Practice" and back, the 'Edit Options' becomes active. But selecting it does nothing at all,

Also, when trying to open the Match Editor from the main or the pop-up menu, DS Designer just crashes.

DS 4.1 SP3 32-bit client. It works perfectly well on the 64-bit version installed on the server.

Hi Dirk,

I have tried all the ways like disable the antivirus also not resolved the issue. After few months it is started working properly.  It seems it is working after  after installing the 4.2 SP0 patch 3.  Still I didn't understand cause for the problem and how  it is working again.

Part of the problem might be solved by applying SAP Note 1925789 - Click on the Edit Options button in the Match transform
and nothing happens, no pop up win...
. Can anybody confirm?

Thanks for coming back to me.

Are you running 32-bit client, as well? In that case, an upgrade to 4.2 might be a good option indeed.

I am not using client. I am using server edition  on windows 7 operating system.

Hi,

Hi Vitaly,

Try to change the license key, use trial one for full version especially DS with DataQuality, this is one of the common issues. let know if it is the case.

Hi Vlad,

Licence key seems not to be the issue in our case. We have installed DS on the clean machine with the same Licence key, and everything seems to be working there. Most likely it's the antivirus or other software that is breaking our DS.

My problem started with the clean Win 7 Pro installation. could be win firewall, but i'm not sure. I'm still thinking why it's happening?

Hi,

Antivirus seems not to be the cause. Shutting it down and reinstalling DS did nothing. I was able to avoid the problem by installing DS on virtual machine that runs on my PC though.

Hi,

I have DS 4.1 SP1 same problem, but when i click on Match Editor "Options" my designer just closes. I had one laptop where it works, but we have 3 different laptops and it's not working on all of them.

Is it a BUG??

What is the OS where you've installed the product (both client and server if distributed)?

What is the full version of the product (eg: 14.0.1.x)?

We are using Windows 7 Pro, installed Data Devices 14.1.1.210 on local machine, also on distributed environment, same issue on both.

Hello Ramana,

Are you able to use other quality transform or having problem with just  Match Transform.

Please check if you are using just DI license or Data services license.

Hi Yusuf,

I am able to use other quality transforms.  But I don't know when I am clicking on edit option pop window is not coming but right side pane help is coming .  I think some thing is restricting the pop up window.

Please help me how to resolve this issue.

Hello Ramana,

Have to tried to import repository objects from a previous version in to the repository of latest version? I have observed it when i tried to import 3.x objects in to 4.x some transforms were not working fine. Check if you facing the same problem in another repository with the Match transform.

Hi Yusuf,

I have tried data quality blue prints related to match transform into repository still edit option is not working . I created new repository and build the job  then only same problem with match transform edit options window. Is there anything blocking . But this is windows component not a web component.

What will be problem for this issue.

Hi Ramna,

Just a guess.

It might be because of Firewall issue or the antivirus issue.

Some times POP up(windows) will be also blocked by antivirus.

Give a try by stopping antivirus and making firewall off .
