I would like to know where the imported universe will be placed until it was exported to Business Objects database.

Thanks,

Hi Narendar,

Which BO version you using, BO3.1 or BI4.0? Also which operating system this also needs to be known?

I am sharing the below path location of BO version with different OS:

For UNV (BO3.1) on Win7 or Win 2008:

C:\Users\<User account>\AppData\Roaming\BusinessObjects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Universes

For UNV(BO3.1) on Win-XP and Win 2003

C:\Documents and Settings\<User Account>\Application Data\BusinessObjects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Universes

For UNV(BI4) on Win7 or Win 2008:

C:\Users\<User account>\AppData\Roaming\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise  XI 4.0\Universes

For UNX(BI4) on Win7 or Win 2008:
C:\Users\<User Account>\.businessobjects\bimodeler_14\workspace\

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Abhi

Hi,

If you have just imported it not not saved it locally, then for that time the UNV is in Cache . when you save it locally then you get it in local data folder.

Hi Narendar,

For universe design tool, you can click 'Save as' to view where the unv is stored by default.

For information design tool, you can click 'New project' and you can find the universe location by default

Hi Narendra,

Imported universe will be stored in local business objects installation folder path.

Once you save and export the universe to repository it will be stored in stored in CMS universe folder.
