HANA Optimisation in Dev, Quality, Prod

Hi folks,

I would like to know what is SAP Best Practise when it comes to optimisation InfoCubes using RSMIGRHANADB through the different landscape environments.

  So does SAP recommend

  (1) Post HANA DB Migration, run the RSMIGRHANADB for InfoCubes, collect these InfoCubes into transports, and then send the transports through to Quality and Production ?

  (2) or Post HANA DB Migration, run the RSMIGRHANADB for Infocubes, individually in each Dev, Quality and Production (which means 3 times)

Can someone share what is SAPs recommendation on this ?

Trust this would help to answer questions on a lot of minds.

  Thanking in advance.

Hi Vantage,

You need to execute the conversion in each system - no transport.

Transporting HANA-optimized InfoProviders please see the following SAP notes:

Note 1691096 - Transport of InfoCubes from and to SAP HANA database

Note 1715129 - Transport of DataStore objects in SAP HANA environment

If it is a 'new installation' migration option, you will execute the conversion in DEV and then transport the objects to QA and PROD.

For converting DSOs please consider: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-41327DataStore Objects in SAP NetWeaver BW on SAP HANA and http://www.saphana.com/docs/DOC-3129
